Sam

Sam Dunkley is a Responsible Individual at AV Care Consultancy, bringing extensive leadership experience and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people living in residential care. With a background as an ‘Outstanding’-rated Registered Manager, Sam offers a proven track record of driving high standards, strong leadership, and continuous improvement within children’s homes.

Alongside her leadership experience, Sam brings a strong therapeutic and well-being-focused approach to her work. As a qualified Yoga Teacher and Nutritional Therapist, she supports providers to embed practices that promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive physical and mental wellbeing. This holistic perspective complements regulatory requirements by strengthening day-to-day care, supporting behaviour management, and contributing to improved outcomes for children and staff alike.

Sam combines strategic oversight with a calm, reflective leadership style, supporting providers to meet Ofsted expectations while embedding trauma-informed, person-centred practice across their services. Her blend of regulatory expertise, operational insight, and therapeutic awareness makes her a trusted partner for homes seeking sustainable improvement and high-quality care.

Rory

Rory Reid is a dedicated Responsible Individual Consultant at AV Care Consultancy, known for his strong leadership and commitment to raising standards within children’s homes. As an ‘Outstanding’-rated Registered Manager, Rory has a proven track record of driving continuous improvement and delivering exceptional care.

In his previous role, Rory successfully supported two colleagues in elevating their services from ‘Requires Improvement’ to ‘Good’ within six months, improving mindset and results. He achieved this through hands-on mentorship, clear goal-setting, and a focused approach to implementing key actions that produce measurable results.

Suzie

Suzie Reuben-Hughes is a dedicated Responsible Individual Consultant with a strong focus on quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and developing future leaders within children’s residential services. She is deeply committed to supporting providers to maintain high standards while embedding sustainable, values-led practice.

With over 10 years’ experience in children’s residential care, Suzie has supported a wide range of services, including senior management roles within flagship providers and hands-on transformation work with small independent homes, helping them strengthen leadership, improve compliance, and achieve Outstanding outcomes.

Suzie’s passion for excellence ensures positive and meaningful outcomes for everyone she supports, from leadership teams and staff to the young people at the heart of the service. Through a supportive, developmental approach, she empowers organisations to build confident leadership, embed best practice, and deliver consistently high-quality care.

Reiss

As Business Manager at AV Care, Reiss plays a key role in supporting residential childcare providers across the South. With a strong background in social care recruitment, Reiss brings valuable sector insight and a practical understanding of what children’s homes need to grow safely, compliantly, and sustainably.

Since joining AV Care, Reiss has worked closely with progressive and ambitious providers, supporting the launch of new homes, expansion of existing services, and the development of stable, high-performing teams. His experience enables him to support clients through critical growth stages, ensuring recruitment strategies align with both operational demands and regulatory expectations.
